Happy Thursday! It was very hot here. My garden has been suffering from 102 F heat and will be continued taking the heat up to 107 F for this coming Sunday. Praying for my plants to boost up their surviving skills. How’s the weather at your place?

I made this card to pretend that I am enjoying my vacation in tropical weather so I could magically avoid our Sacramento heat wave. To begin with this card, I colored the leaf images from Pretty Pink Posh Hibiscus Flowers Stamp set and Birdies from Tropical Birds Stamp set, then die cut them with the Coordinating Dies. (Hibiscus Flowers / Tropical Birds )

I cut the center of an A2 sized watercolor paper using Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Hearts Die to create the main heart window. Then I ink blended the bottom part of this front panel using Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Worn Lipstick. I mixed the same ink with water randomly splattered over the inked background. When everything dried, I made my leafy pattern to see through the heart window and attached the front panel with Foam tapes.

I stamped the sentiment from Tropical Birds Stamp set to the lower portion of my card and added Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish it.
Thanks for stopping by. I will show you another summer card in couple days! XOXO…
