Not to mention about breathtaking sales event which I was one of people who was taking every single advantage of☺️ And now I could be here introducing her store products and enjoying my crafting addiction at the same time. I couldn’t enough how happy I am. Go ahead to the BRI blog to welcome the other 4 lucky girls who will be sharing this four months journey with me!!

Best Fishes to You

Happy Monday or Happy end of Sunday! I got a little bit time to finish one card today. I had this scene in my mind…The sun is going done. Dinner time is approaching. Daddy bear decided to hunt for food to feed baby bear. As the bucket is filling up, both of them are getting so happy. Let us talk about something depressing a little. Today, at least 26 people were killed in Sunday’s church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. I can’t imagine why this gunman decided to do this to all innocent people. What’s going on with this world?! All I can do right now is to stay positive and pray for all families that are involved in this tragedy…

You are my Favorite

I am switching the gear from Christmas to Fall scene a little. Rich yellow and orange are my go to colors for fall. The distress oxide inks are too pale for the whole panel. I had to add some distress inks to make the color richer. Then I found they are easier to blend if distress oxide prepped the base. Score! Now blending shouldn’t be a big problem at all!

  1. Fussy cut all images from Neat and Tangled My favorite nut Stamp set and colored with Copic markers
  2. Ink blended with Tim Holtz distress oxide and inks on a watercolor paper
  3. Created the windows using My favorite things Stitched Rectangle die, Large one for the base and small one for three windows
  4. Added foam tape on the border of the frame to create window dimension so I could add Neat and Tangled Festive Fall Sequin Mix in them
  5. Before assembled the windows, I stamped “You are my favorite” sentiment on the background
  6. Assembled all images around the windows and adhered the panel onto a A2 card base.

Thank you from The bottom of my heart

Where to start…Umm…I wanted to create a fall scene with detailed background. So I pulled out all things that I could think to help me reaching my goal (craft dies, inkpads, sequins…and so on) There’s a song singing as “Can’t take my eyes off you…Can”t take my mind off you…” I was going like “Can’t take my hands off you…” Before I knew it, I added A LOT into this tiny A2 card. If I have more room on the panel, the badger and the mouse would be in there too. From now on I need to remind myself, sometimes less is more.

Christmas Caroling Bear

I have colored every single image from Mama Elephant  A Beary Christmas Stamp set. I used some of them for a card a few days ago and left some. It would be nice to make a card out of what”s left. So here it is. I made a shaker card. Now I know how hard to take a photo of shaker card without glare from the acetate. Please check out other detail photos to see the true color.

Happy World Card Making Day!

Yesterday was World Card Making Day. I pulled out my craft stashes for yard sale and was hoping someone crafty would show up and appreciate them. And yes, a lady named Christina, who was looking at my stamps one by one until she stopped and asked me how much it is for all. And yes, she bought 100+ stamp sets from me!!! She also got most of my craft punches. What I was surprised is that her husband actually helped her test every single punch to see if they are sharp. What a supportive husband! I immediately looked at my husband and hoped he got some hints from me. I am so happy that my yard sale was successful. In the end I had some time to sit down making a card to celebrate this wonderful day.

Love from above

Angel card is here! I made this slider card by using Mamaelephant older released stamp set called Love from above.  I got this stamp at Scrapbook Expo last year. I am always an Mamaelephant fan but somehow I didn’t even pay attention to this set. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to own it badly.

Wish Big!

I’ve had some wonderful Lawn Fawn stamps and dies for quite some time but I had no chance to use them. I pulled them out and started my experiment. One of reasons that I love Lawn Fawn products is they always release new things to coordinate what you’ve already had at home. I had Stitched Hillside Pop-up die for a while. Then they came out with Flower Hillside pop-up add-on to match it. They are so considerate! Believe or not, It took me almost 3 hours to finish this card. It will take a little longer to get my crafting groove back. I can feel that I am on the right path though.

  1. Cut out all the background pieces, distressed them using Tim Holtz Distress inks. Sprinkle water on the distressed surface to create special effects.
  2. Stamped images from Elphie Selfie Stamp set with Memento Black ink, and colored with Copic Markers
  3. Assemble all the prepared pieces together using Craft glue dots.
  4. I purposely make the front of the card simple so It will be a surprise when receiver opens it.
