Waffle Flower 2019 September Release Blog Hop

Welcome to Waffle Flower September 2019 Release Blog Hop! This release combined some gorgeous stamps and dies, along with some basic nesting dies that works well with all projects. I picked some of products to show you four cards below.

<Card 1>

My first card is something that you could mass produce when you don’t have lots of time. To start with my card, I used Nesting Circles Die to cut differnet sizes of circle and ink blended them with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Picked RaspberryWorn lipstick, Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade.

I arranged those inked circles onto a piece of A2 sized water color paper using Foam tapes to create dimensions. I added Up & Running Enamel dots to coordinate each colors. Then I splattered some gold paint over the background.

I stamped the sentiment from Happy Retirement Stamp set onto a piece of black card stock paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut them with the Matching Die and adhered them onto the background with foam tape.

<Card 2>

I am always in love with beautiful floral by Karla Jodoin.  I stamped this fairly large image from Poppy Hawthorn Stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto  a piece of 80 lbs Neenah Solar White card stock paper and die cut with the Matching Dies. Then I colored it with Copic markers.

To create the background, I die cut 3 sized squares using Nesting Squares Die and ink blended them with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio. I adhered them diagonally onto a A2 sized water color paper.

I attached the colored images onto the background and lightly splattered black ink over the panel to create some artsy effect. At last, I white embossed the sentiment “thank you” from the same stamp set and final touched my card.

<Card 3>

This card is a fun card. I used the negative part of die cut from my first card to create my main lay out. I highly encourage you to try using scraps to create new products. I used pencil lightly draw the circles onto another piece of white card stock paper guided by this circle panel I have.  Then I ink blended them using Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean and Worn lipstick.

When I don’t know what colors to use for my images, I always go with the basic colors I have in the background. I quickly Copic colored my characters from Little Artists Stamp set and die cut with the Matching Dies.

I attached my colored images onto the background using liquid adhesive and foam tapes, then added Up & Running Enamel Dots to finish this card.

<Card 4>

My last card features the most popular print from Big Bear and Bird. Since the image is large and fun, I really don’t need to do a lot of embellishments. To create my window, I cut it with Nesting Ovals Die out of an A2 sized watercolor paper. I ink blended the background using Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Fossilized Amber and Worn Lipstick.

I colored the images from Bear Hugs Stamp set and cut with the Matching Dies. I attached it within the oval window and stamped the sentiment “Bear Hugs for you” . And of course, a little bit Up & Running Enamel dots makes my card more fun!

    Fantastic cards.
    The circles in the first almost
    looks like cookies spread
    over the card. The mice
    in their windows is cute.
