You make me smile

Happy Mother’s day! I hope everyone had a great day today. Hubby and my daughter decided to take me to San Francisco for a Mother’s day splurge. We went to my favorite Macaroon and Pastry stores in Daly city, and we also enjoyed a great authentic Chinese meal. Before we headed out, I made this card with Pretty Pink Posh May release stamp set called Playful Puppies.

First of all, I stamped all images with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar white 80lbs cardstock, then colored them with copic markers. I’ve been in love with the color combination of pink and blue lately, so I pulled out Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean to create my background. I smudged the ink pads onto a laminated paper, then I sprayed water over them to make inked water mixture. I used a size #8 round brush applying ink water mixture separately onto a piece of Tim Holtz distress watercolor paper and dried with my heat tool. Then I made the ink water mixture slightly more concentrated and splattered over the background by tapping the brush handle.

Once the panel was dried, I trimmed it slightly smaller than an A2 card and rounded four corners. To create the window, I die cut it with Pretty Pink Posh Story Book 4 die. I ink blended background windows with same inks to match the panel.

I wanted to create a shaker window, so I adhered foam tape on the back of panel to attach the card base. I stamped “You make me smile” sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh Encouraging Greeting Stamp set and I added Pretty Pink Posh Jewels in Pink Blush , Sea Glass and 3mm Sparkling Clear sequins inside of windows before I closed them up. I assembled all images onto the top of card using Multi Medium Matte and Foam tape. At last, I added a few Jewels to fill up some spots.

I truly love this stamp set very much and I hope I could make more cards to share with you all. Pretty Pink Posh is having 15% off for all products on their website until tomorrow. Don’t forget to take advantage of this awesome sale. I will see you soon!
